Shane Davolt

Shane graduated from William Jewell in 1993 and started his insurance career as a producer with G M Peters Agency in 1996. He partnered with Peggy Marrs to buy the agency in 1999. Shane specializes in helping middle market and large businesses address risk assessment and insurance placement for property, liability, work comp and benefits. Shane currently serves on William Jewell College's President's Advisory Council, the Board of Partnership for Community Growth, the Board of Greater KC Independent Insurance Agents, and teaches Sunday School at Liberty United Methodist Church. Shane also serves on the Missouri Advisory Board for United Fire Group and the Advisory Board for Missouri Employers Mutual.

Peggy Marrs

Peggy started at G M Peters in April of 1965 as a typist/clerk. Peggy received her insurance agent's license in 1980 and was promoted to Account Manager. In July of 1999 Peggy, along with Shane Davolt, purchased the agency from the Peters' family. Peggy has worked closely with the Liberty Area Chamber of Commerce, as a past Board Member and involved with the Liberty Fall Festival Committee.

Marty Hensley

Marty graduated from William Jewell in 1982 and began his insurance career in 1985 with Liberty Mutual - he was trained in underwriting, loss control, and insurance sales. In 1997 Marty joined Cretcher- Lynch Insurance Agency as producer of medium and large commercial clients. Marty joined G M Peters Agency in 2008 as a partner and commercial lines manager. Marty Specializes in designing and implementing programs to help clients control long term insurance costs. He developed "Safety as a Lifestyle" in 2006 to help clients develop a 24/7 safety culture. Marty served on the North Kansas City School District Insurance Committee from 2000 to 2006. He served as a risk manager for North Kansas City 2007-2009. Marty is a Current Member of the North Kansas City School District Demographic Committee and is the current President of the Greater Kansas City Independent Agents Association.

Michelle Pellicciotta

Michelle is a 1994 graduate from the University of Western Ontario (Ontario, Canada) where she obtained her Bachelor of Art's degree in Sociology. She worked in the financial industry as a Personal Banker with CIBC until she moved to Boise, Idaho in 2002. She began her insurance career as a Personal Lines Account Manager with Christensen & Associates Insurance Agency in 2002. Michelle moved to Kansas City, MO in 2006 and joined G M Peters Agency as a Personal Lines Account Manager. She completed her CISR (Certified Insurance Service Representative) designation in 2007.

Pat Abernathy

Pat began her career in 1970 with Western Insurance Company in their Personal Lines Department. She left there in May of 1995 when her department was relocated to their home office in Ft. Scott Kansas. In the fall of 1995 Pat joined Farmland Industries in their Human Resources Department, Corporate Employment and Hiring. Before she left Farmland in November 1999, she had transferred to their Computer Security Team. In January of 2000 she returned to insurance with the G M Peters Agency. Pat is not only our Receptionist, but also our Claims Service Representative, and Personal Lines/Administrative Assistant.

Eric Levings

Eric Levings graduated from William Jewell college in 1998 and began his insurance career at G M Peters Agency, Inc. in July of 1999. Eric is dedicated to his clients and focuses on the area of general commercial business insurance. Eric has served on the Board of Sertoma for six years, and was President of that Board in 2005. Eric lives in the Liberty area with his wife and two daughters, and enjoys being a Sunday school teacher at the United Methodist church.

Travis Barker

Travis started in the insurance industry in 2000 as a surety bond underwriter after serving in the Persian Gulf War and graduating from William Jewell College. He spent five years with Employers Mutual Casualty Company underwriting construction risks located in the Midwest. In 2005 Travis became an independent agent and went to work for CBIZ Insurance Services, Inc. as a producer on small to medium sized commercial insurance and construction accounts. In 2009 Travis came to work for GM Peters as a producer with an emphasis on construction and surety bond sales.
